The Reset and Great Tribulation

You may be asking, “What does the Great Reset have to do with the Christian view of the end of the age? For that matter, “What does the Great Reset have to do with the Bible?” These are good questions that require a good answer.

To understand the Great Reset, you also need to understand what the Bible says about the end of the age that we appear to be living in. In fact, allow me to say that it is one thing to understand the Great Reset and why it is transpiring (as many do), it is another thing to understand the Great Reset in light of biblical prophesy. The first might help you prepare yourself for the upheaval and world changing events that are coming, but it will not prepare anyone for the end product of the Great Reset nor the potential eternal implications such a global governance will produce.

We have discussed the Great Reset, but what is the Great tribulation?

Simply stated, the Great Tribulation is a seven year period of that will occur at the very end of the history of mankind (or we might say the age we are currently living) that will prove to be cataclysmic and includes perilous events never before experienced in human history. A time often referred to as the Apocalypse. Our overall understanding of this event is due to its inclusion in the biblical writings, both Old and New Testaments. And within those biblical writings are descriptions of the global situation of the world leading up to those final seven years giving us insight into the economic, technological, military, and religious situations at that time.

You may respond by saying, “How can today’s technological situation be explained in a book written over two thousand years ago when such technologies were not even thought of, much less invented?” The answer is simple. This is just one of the arguments in favor of the veracity of Scripture—the Bible foretold our world's events before such a thing could happen. The events recorded in the biblical texts can only take place once those technologies are produced. God’s efforts to have the biblical writers record this information indicates God’s desire for people to be capable of seeing the warning signs and understanding what is taking place.

With that said, let’s take a breifly list four general points concerning the correlation between the Great Reset and the Great Tribulation as described in the Bible. Naturally, there is far more that needs to be said about the matter, this is simply a cursory summary.

1. A global governance system is being quickly implemented that appears to be described in the Bible.

First, the Bible depicts the conclusion of human history while under the rule of global governance which morphs into a pernicious and world-wide system that is unlike anything ever experienced. Mark Hitchcock, summarizes the situation in the following manner:

God’s Word predicted almost two thousand years ago that such a global system will rise in the end times. This is even more compelling when we remember that the words of Revelation 13 were penned by the apostle John in the age of wood, stones, swords, spears, and Roman togas. That long ago, who but the true and living God could have predicted a one-world economic system that controls global commerce? The prophecies in Revelation 13 and the developments we see today that strikingly foreshadow them are additional evidence that the God of the Bible is his inspired, inerrant Word. (Global Reset).

Never before has anything like the Great Reset been possible, much less implemented. Such global governance, from our view today, is powered through technological advancement giving unprecedented control over people's lives.

2. A financial and economic system is being constructed that will facilitate control of the earth’s population for all purchasing and selling.

The biblical writers wrote that a period would come when everything sold and purchased would require permission and be trackable. Needless to say, the time of the biblical writings predate any technological advancement that would make this possible. Yet, the writers describe an economic situation that we can clearly recognize in today’s technological age—an age of computerized advancement that, comparatively speaking, has only recently developed. In fact, many of the technologies necessary to fulfill what end times prophecies describe have been developed only in recent decades and some even within recent years.

Many leaders across the planet are calling for such a system.
Besides those currently advocating for the Great Reset, there are less prominent names recommending the same. For example, Thomas Horn summarizes “an opinion piece distributed by Tribune Media Services titled, ‘The Chance for a New World Order.’” The piece includes information from Henry Kissinger, the former US Secretary of State, who, when recommending how a New World Order could be established, “discussed the need for an international political order (world government) to arise and govern a new monetary and trade system” (Beast Tech, p. 36). In fact, a new monetary and trade system is an absolute requirement for both global governance and fulfillment of the biblical prophesies recorded in the Bible.

And is this new monetary and trade system being established? Yes, undoubtedly! Tom Horn makes this point when he writes (italics added), “Current technological, social, and/or political circumstances soon will lead to a system of universal totalitarian enslavement by means of a global economic network of computerized bartering” (Beast Tech, p. 30). Just to reiterate the point, in order to accomplish this, every purchase made would have to be trackable and traceable. Is such a complex and world-wide computerized system in place? The point of this example is simply this: what the Bible describes as being implemented and present at the end of human history is precisely the technology that has been put into place only within the last few years. And it is this technological system that will allow for global governing and the implementation of a system of control previously considered impossible.

Achieving such a system
Fully achieving such a computerized tracking system would require the participation, decision-making, and leadership of the world’s most powerful and influential leaders. Hitchcock and Hinley remark on this necessity and write (italics added),

The Great Reset and its cashless agenda are a catalyst and necessary antecedent for the one-world economy of the Antichrist. Ancient prophesies in Scripture lay out the scenario in full color. History is headed toward a one-world government under the total control of Satan's superman, the final Antichrist who will subjugate the planet. To bring his control to fruition, this final ruler will have to control global commerce and impose a one-world economy. Without economic control, there is no real control (Global Resert, p. 63).

Is such a system in place? Almost. The infrastructure and capabilities are currently being impemented by national politicians, global elites, global media conglomerates, banking systems, and corporate leaders at an incredible speed and efficiency. The framework for the construction is sufficent to recognize what is being built.

And how will they bring the system to full fruition?
The system will be brought to full strength as global leaders influence, encourage, entice, demand, and even force all nations and peoples of the world into compliance. The Great Reset appears to be that impetus for that system.

But will the peoples of the world allow this to occur? The answer is a resounding yes—it is taking place now at a pace that is breath-taking in speed and scope. Hitchcock and Kinley address this matter and write (italics added), “The prophecies made by Daniel and John appear to be coming together at an accelerated rate, faster than at any time in modern memory. In short, never has the idea of a one-world government been as palatable to the international community as it is right now” (Global Reset, p. 19).

And once the system is fully implemented, what then?

3. A world leader will emerge who will take control of that global system.

In their biblical writings, the apostle John, the prophet Daniel, and the apostle Paul insist that once this world-encompassing system is put into place, a charismatic leader and politician will rise to global prominence and take control of that system. Thomas Horn explains this and writes (italics added),

It has been assumed for centuries that a prerequisite for the coming of Antichrist would be a “revived” world order—an umbrella under which national boundaries dissolve and ethic groups, ideologies, religions, and economies from around the world orchestrate a single and dominant sovereignty. At the head of the utopian administration, a single personality will surface. He will appear to be a man of distinguished character, but ultimately become “a king of fierce countenance” (Daniel 8:23 KJV). With imperious decree, he will facilitate a One World Government, universal religion, and global socialism” (Beast Tech, p. 33).

That single personality is referred to in the Scriptures as the Antichrist. Listen to just a few titles the Bible uses when referring to this man. He is called...

1.      ...the “Son of Destruction” (2 Thessalonians 2:3);

2.      the “Man of Lawlessness” (2 Thessalonians 2:8-9; Daniel 9:26);

3.      the “Man of Sin” (2 Thessalonians 2:3);

4.      and the "King of Fierce Countenance” (Daniel 8:23).

And what is the Antichrist? He is the direct adversary of Christ. The counterfeit of the Messiah. For anyone interested, here is a list of the names of the Antichrist and his deeds compared to Jesus Christ.

The Antichrist will take control of the then in place global system and gain control and rulership over the entire earth. A brief but informative explanation and short video can be found here.

Paul warns us about this man and describes him in this manner:

“Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God” (2Th 2:3-4 ESV).

Paul goes on to explain how the Antichrist is empowered and placed into this dominant position, and writes, “The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved” (2Th 2:9-10 ESV).

And what will this individual do once he is in a position of global authority and power?

4. That world leader will implement and require the Mark of the Beast for all people.

No one is sure which technology will be sued for the mark. From current technology it appears to be some sort of microchip implant or an electronic tattoo. Sound too futuristic? Not so. In a report titled, “Global Biochip Market Report 2021-2026: New Product Launches by the Major Players to Create Lucrative Opportunities”, we find the following paragraph:

The Global Biochip Market is segmented based on type, technology, application, end-user, company, and region. Based on type, the market can be categorized into DNA chips, lab-on-a-chips and protein chips. The DNA chips segment is expected to dominate the market on account of its widespread adoption and use. Based on technology, the market can be bifurcated into microarray and microfluidics. (You can read the entire article here.)

Whichever technology is used, whether a single technology or multiple technologies, whether tattoos or bio-metric chips, the mark will be of such importance that anyone who refuses to accept the mark, on any grounds, will not be allowed to buy or sell anything within the global currency and bartering system. Hitchcock summarizes well the biblical view of the mark of the beast and writes, "The mark will be the global passport to participate in the economy. During the final half of the tribulation, this literal, visible mark will be mandatory for any commercial business or commerce" (Great Reset, p. 69).

Does this seem impossible? You might want to reconsider that in light of the current electronic age—within an infrastructure intentionally built for this purpose. And what about those electronic tattoos? Just take a look here. And that is precisely what is being implemented—a system that is fully trackable and traceable. The Bible fully warns us all, and says,

And he [the Antichrist] causes all, small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, that they should receive marks on their right hand, or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except he that has the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name” (Revelation 13:16-17 English Majority Text Version).

How long will this last?

The period that this man will be in control will be a total of seven years. During that 7 year period he will establish a peace agreement with Israel. At the half way point he will break that covenant and attempt to destroy Israel.

The culmination of this global rule will result in what is known as the final Battle of Armageddon. The Antichrist will be destroyed along with the global system that was instituted. Jesus Christ will at that time take control of the earth and rule all nations from Jerusalem. The Book of Daniel and The Revelation of Jesus Christ are the primary two documents that explain this to us. There are numerous other references throughout the Bible, but Daniel and John provide the most complete explanations. Not a coincidence!

Understanding biblical prophesy is of vital importance. It is of extra ordinary urgency to recognize what is transpiring in the world today. The development of a world-wide convergence of events is not happening coincidentally. Beyond the astounding technological developments and the efforts to unite the world under a global governing body, there is a plethora of converging tell-tale indicators that are provided for us within the pages of the Bible. These indicators combine to prove the Bible is correct in its description of the end-times.

I urge you to take the time to read a book such as Global Reset by Hitchcock and Hinley. Even if you consider everything said here as conjecture and foolishness, I invite and challenge you to read further and look for yourself at what the Bible has to say about these matters.

Finally, the Great Reset appears to be the mechanism to coalesce a world-wide system that will allows for the final global government and dictator in preparation for the close of human history. We would be wise to hear Paul’s warning about the time we appear to be entering into.

Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way.

And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness (2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 ESV).

Allow me to conclude this discussion on the Great Reset and its corresponding Great Tribulation by leaving you with the closing words of Daniel the prophet, who, when being allowed to see into the future and the marvels that would be prevelant on the earth in the end days, says the following:

I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, “O my lord, what shall be the outcome of these things? He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end. Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand” (Daniel 12:8-10 ESV).
